Testing the waters with Internationalized Domain Names. IDNs

For many entering the new world of International Domain Names, there are usually many questions:  Firstly there has been a total dominance of latin domains used by businesses and individuals on the internet, and althought IDNs have been available in many languages for several years, they have pretty much slipped by unnoticed by the world until last November when ICANN announced the opening up the international webspace.  So the question many will be asking is will IDNs work for my business when my latin domain seems to be working out just fine.  Here in lies the crux of the matter:  the next generation of internet user that come from non-latin speaking countries will grow up on a web space that will use domains in their own language.  It will become a habit for them to type in domain addresses in their native tongues.  This will become an obvious fact of the future and will be especially true in languages like Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Thai etc.  So how to make the transition from using latin only domains to a combinations of latin and IDN domains?  This is where IDN Advantage can make a difference for your business.  We can help you make the best choices when considering moving in the direction of using IDNs to magnify your business presence on the web.
